EDUCATION AT HEMEL

IMG_6530.JPG

Hemel Hempstead Town FC has four classrooms for young people to learn alongside their football development. Most players will study a two year Level 3 to NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Education starting in year 12. The two year course will give the players the equivalent UCAS points as 3 x A Levels.

The college style programme at Hemel is also designed to fit the players needs, some players complete a level 2, some players retake their GCSE’s in Maths and English, some players complete coaching qualifications and also gain work experience working in the football industry.

Players who enrol can study at Hemel from 16 to 19 years of age, whilst the aim of many of the players is to step up their football development and work towards a debut for Hemel Hempstead Town FC’s first team, there are also other exit routes with players going off to University, straight into work within football, or gaining a scholarship to study and play in the USA.
