Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club is delighted to announce the immediate appointment of Bobby Wilkinson as our new manager on a two-year contract.
Following a thorough recruitment process, Bobby emerged as the standout candidate, boasting a wealth of experience and a proven track record wherever he has gone. Following this process, Bobby has agreed to come in earlier than planned so he can get to work immediately, based on the current scenario.
Given Bobby's undeniable qualities and the urgent need for stability, the club has made the decision to appoint him now, allowing him and his management team time to secure our safety this season and prepare thoroughly for the next season.
With his extensive background at clubs like Hungerford, Wealdstone, and most recently Weymouth, Bobby brings a deep understanding of the challenges inherent in our league and the immediate task ahead of us going into a crucial week in our season. His impressive CV includes successful promotions and notable achievements, demonstrating his ability to deliver results even in the most difficult of circumstances.
We are also pleased to welcome Mike Percival as Bobby's assistant manager. With a longstanding professional relationship with Bobby, Mike's addition adds invaluable insight and cohesion to our coaching staff. Bobby and Mike will immediately turn their attention to preparations for Saturday in terms of working with the players in two upcoming training sessions and the final game of the season. Further additions to the coaching staff will be announced in due course.
It goes without saying that in order for the club to move forward, we need everyone united for this final week of the season and we have no doubt that Bobby, along with his management team, will galvanise the club going forward.
