History
The Romans were founded in 1889 as Bath AFC. Competing in their first match on the 10th of October 1889, in which they lost 9-4 to Trowbridge Town at the North Parade Ground. Two years later in 1891 the club were struggling financially and joined with the local rugby club at the time, before then renaming to Bath City in 1905. Winning the Southern League Western twice in 1930 and 1933 respectively.
FA Cup
The Romans have achieved success in the FA Cup throughout their history, reaching the 3rd round on six occasions, taking out massive sides such as Millwall, Crystal Palace and Cardiff City, who they defeated in the 1992 season.
Through the Leagues
Bath have seen themselves in and around the upper tiers of non league football throughout recent times. Being demoted to the seventh tier of English football in 2004, which was the lowest level the club has ever played at. Before being promoted in both 2007 and 2010, which saw them play in the Conference. Then being relegated to the National League South in 2012, in which they have played ever since.
