Following the injury to Trae Cook-Appiah in our home fixture against Bath City on Saturday 31st August, the club has received further update on the striker's injury.
Manager, Bobby Wilkinson, provided an update for Tudor fans - "Trae went to the hospital on the Saturday during the game, where he had x-rays and a CT scan. The X-ray showed tibial plateau fracture, 8 weeks recovery time. CT scan was clear. Trae then had an appointment on Monday 2nd September at the hospital where he saw a consultant who tested ligaments and assessed the knee, in which they said ligaments seem in tact and strong. Me and Trae suggested an MRI which he had at the hospital. Trae saw a knee specialist this morning for a second opinion who has informed us that Trae has sustained severe ligament damage to 3 out of the 4 ligaments in the knee. PCL, ACL and PLC which all require reconstruction surgery. Trae is unfortunately looking at a year out. Heartbreaking news for the player."
With Trae set on being out for a lengthy period of time, we will continue to provide full support during his rehabilitation over the coming year. As a club, we want to wish Trae a speedy recovery, and we hope to see him back in a Tudor shirt soon.
