We are excited to welcome midfielder, Michael Phillips to the club.
Michael is a 26 year old holding midfielder who has had a wealth of success over his career so far. Lifting the National League South trophy with both Wealdstone and Maidstone United in back to back seasons. 2020/21 and 2021/22 respectively.
Michael came through the academy at Crystal Palace, shining in their U21's side before leaving in 2018 to join Maidstone United for his first taste of mens football. Going onto win Maidstones player of the year that season. Michael then departed Maidstone to make the move to Grovsner Vale in which he played a key role in the Wealdstone team that won the National League South, gaining promtion to the National League. Michael then left the stones, rejoining Maidstone United as he went on to achieve the same feat by winning the league again in back to back seasons. Michael most recently played for AFC Croydon Athletic last season in Step 5, gaining promotion to Step 4 through a dramatic Playoff Final.
Michael brings a wealth of experience and a great footballing brain to the club and we look forward to seeing him at The Focus soon.
